Hubby's Birthday!

Jadon was convinced that Jennie came home just in time for his birthday and was satisfied with that :) He actually told me what he wanted for his birthday was for me to buy a dehydrator and make jerky... so I bought a dehydrator and made jerky for the first time.. with the help of Jadon! He approved so I hope he wasn't just saying that. I was also so glad to have sunday, the day before his birthday off to watch conference and hang at home all day together and celebrated with his family that evening. Monday he chose to go out to none other than the taco wagon for dinner ;)

I am so grateful to have the best hubby.. he is always helping and teaching me even when he doesnt know it. He is the person who can get me to chill out especially when I'm in a bad mood and to enjoy things! He is such a hard worker and puts 100% effort into everything he does. Hope you had a happy happy birthday I love you!

Homeward Bound

A few weeks ago Jadon went with some friends duck hunting and they took Jennie ... I wont say "I told you so" but I do recall saying to take her leash ;) By the time they got to the river Jennie wasn't in the back of the pickup, so they turned around and searched for a couple hours until dark. Then Jadon called and told me he couldnt find her.... I have never felt so sick to my stomach. We went back and looked but chances of finding her especially at night was almost none. The next day me and my mom looked all morning, later me and Jadon hung lost signs and Tyler helped us look. Of course I was worried, she is just a pup... but I just kept thinking somehow she would come home and I just wanted to know what happened... not knowing if she was ok or hurt, the unkown is the worst! We prayed that we would just at least know what happened to her and that people would be honest in contacting us, Jadon reassured me this was a test of patience... which is a lot easier said than done. 

Two days after she was missing Jadon got a call that Jennie had shown up at a guys house, a couple miles away from where they were on the river! He was truly an answer to our prayers... an honest man who wouldn't accept anything! I couldn't have been happier to see her :) She was pretty scratched up, hungry and tired... but very happy to be home :) The vet said she must have fallen out of the pickup because if she would have jumped she would have broken her legs... tough girl took the fall right on her face. She didn't have skin on her lower lip, which the vet was surprised didn't break her jaw.. no skin on her left cheek and a cut on the left leg.

She is almost all healed up now... and as wild as ever:) She is still pretty scared of the pickup and a lot of things... but I think she is just as glad to be home as we are to have her home! I can't believe how lucky we are to have found her when chances are almost nothing and that she wasn't hurt too bad. I know for some people it might seem like just a dog but once you go through it and lost an animal you are so attached to you don't fully understand how much they mean to you. Jadon kept telling me it was a test of patience, which I don't have much of and I truly believe it was, it might seem small to some but it showed me the power of prayer and faith! I'm so grateful for our family and friends for helping us and for honest people! We love you Jennie!

This is by far the best picture! My mom wont admit how much she loves to cuddle with Jennie when we aren't around..;) she even missed Jennie so much when she was gone she now said she would actually cuddle with her so I had to get a picture of proof! ha love you mom

Catchup ;)

I thought it would be fun to have a blog.. to remember pics and things, but it seems I never find the time to do it! We have both been busy between working and starting back in school last month.  Bj has been doing the business and managing the feed lot in osgood, "Cinder Butte Cattle." It has been a big responsibility for him, but he will do such a good job at it!

It is officially fall time and I love it! I love the cool whether, not too hot, not too cold and the smell of a fall evening! The only bad thing is that winter is right around the corner and it seems that this year has completely flown by! This is the "harvest" letters that my mom, sisters and I made last year and I get to display in our own home this year.  I am excited that we have every season and I will get to use them all now!

Jennie is huge! She is getting so big, but is still so cute she has been a pretty good dog and we are so glad to have little Jen :) Lately she thinks she owns the couch... and she is sometimes too cute to get mad at, but she just stares at all the cars that drive by.

Last Monday Bj woke up during the night sick.. puking. I felt bad that I had to work all day... so I got him settled with sprite, tums and saltines for the day. This is him and Jen when I got home.. poor things. Love them both:)



The other night we tried to take a few pics of us with Jen using the timer on the camera.. after a ton of pics we at least got a couple descent ones ;)  Bj also couldn't wait to wear his new kicks we bought for his birthday that isn't til next week... but he does look good in them... so happy early birthday present!



Best Birthday!

I had a great birthday thanks to my hubby :) I love surprises and notes and little things...but Bj hates doing them and he completely shocked me for my birthday. I had to work the day of my birthday so I woke up early and walked into the living room, I thought lil Jennie had torn something up all over he carpet.. but instead it was my favorite dove chocolate in the shape of a heart with lifesavers around and flowers with a card... awww what a sweet hubby! I was mad the night before because he stayed up after I went to bed and that was why :) Then he drove up to rexburg to meet me for my lunch break and took me out and when I got home that night he even cleaned up the house he is so thoughtful! The next day we went to vickers and picked me out a new pair of boots and he decided to get him a real cowboy hat. It turned out to be a great birthday, I am so grateful to have him as my husband and that does so much for me... especially little things and surprises that mean the most! I love you!

We also got to spend the following weekend with my family, we went to West Yellowstone to the Playmill, it was a lot of fun and great to spend together. My mom spoiled us by having dinner for me and Chels, my sister, since both of our birthdays are close together! Thank you to all my family for a great birthday I love you all!

Jennie

We got lil Jennie in June after we looked a few months for a yellow lab puppy. I kept telling Bj I wanted a puppy so I wasn't always home alone.. but after the last two dogs getting hit we didn't want it to be strike three. We picked her because she was the only one sitting quietly out of all the other puppies... but now that she is home she isn't so quiet all the time ;) She is a pretty good pup, but is still learning. She loves ice cubes and now waits by the fridge for us to drop one. She steals our shoes and unwinds all the toilet paper... then eats it. We cant yell at her too much.. at least I cant because she is so cute! We love you Jennie:)

Our Wedding Day! May 7, 2011

Everyone tells you how your wedding day is the best day of your life... its crazy to think one day could be so great, but it is completely true! Our wedding day was perfect, we had a wonderful family friend as our sealer and he did an amazing job! The entire day was just for us two and I couldn't have been happier! We are so grateful for family and friends that helped and shared that day with us! I love Bj so much and I am so grateful to have him as my husband for eternity!

How it all began...

To tell a little about us... we met in high school, I was a sophmore and he was a freshman and we dated all through high school. We both started college and continued working and dating after high school. We talked about marriage often, but started talking more serious about it and then it happened so fast. Of course I was soooo impatient... we hadn't said anything to family but once we did I started making plans before I had my ring or an official proposal. I pestered him all the time :) Then one night, January 14, 2011  after I went to a bridal fair with my mom, I told her I hated going to those because everyone looked at my finger and I didnt have a ring!!! Bj and I went to dinner that night and he was being so sweet and nice, letting me choose where to eat, I wondered why he was going overboard on buttering me up, but I figured he would make me wait and wait for my ring because I was so impatient. A few years back we carved our initals in a tree at the park we always hung out at in high school, we hadnt been there in a long time so he suggested we go there, I was like its winter and dark, but of course we went. The tree was at the begging, but he made us go the entire way around the park, while I was complaing about being cold! Finally we got to the tree and he made me walk through the snow and pointed up... there was a wood sign that had "will you marry me?" carved in it and he was on his knee! He claims I didnt say yes I just stared at him... haha but it was a YES! I love him and I am so glad I got my ring.. and to marry my best friend! I love you Jadon!
